How to reach us
If driving to Bormio:
- From Milan - head to Tangenziale [ringroad] Nord, exit at Cinisello Balsamo; follow clearway for Lecco until Colico then head on the SS38 to Sondrio, Tirano and Bormio.
- From Brescia - follow highway A4 and exit at Brescia Ovest in the direction of Lago d'Iseo; then SS42 for Breno, Edolo; and again SS39 for Aprica, Trento; finally drive along the SS38 for Bormio.
- From St. Moritz [first option] - drive through the Bernina Pass then Forcola Pass to Livigno and finally Bormio [Summer months only].
- From St. Moritz [second option] - drive through the Bernina Pass then onto Tirano and finally Bormio [available all-year round].
- From Zernez - through the "Munt la Schera" tunnel and Drossa tunnel; then onto Livigno and finally Bormio [check out the opening times at www.livigno.eu].
The following Alps Passes are accessible in summer months only:
- Passo del Gavia [when travelling from either Brescia or Ponte di Legno], follow directions to Santa Caterina Valfurva then onward to Bormio.
- Passo dello Stelvio [when travelling from Bolzano] at an altitude of 2750mt, down towards Bormio.
- Passo St. Maria or Umbrail Pass [along the Italian and Swiss borders] at an altitude of 2500mt, then onward connection to the Stelvio Pass main road.
- Passo della Forcola [when travelling from Switzerland], down towards Livigno then onto Bormio.
Bormio amidst tradition and glamour
If travelling to Bormio by train:
- The railway line Milan-Lecco-Sondrio-Tirano covers the entire area to/from Bormio. Direct trains are also available from Milan to Tirano with a journey time of approx. 2 hours and 30 minutes.

- From St. Moritz you can reach Tirano with the Retica Railway services then bus transportation to Bormio.

- Innsbruck [Austria] is only 180kms from Bormio with train services connecting Innsbruck-Landeck-St.Moritz then a local train to Tirano and bus services to Bormio with www.sacbo.it.
